- Profile information such as photos, location, faith- and lifestyle-related answers, interests, preferences, prompts, relationship goals, and other details you choose to share.
- Content and communications, including messages, Hangouts, support requests, reports, and moderation-related information.
Information collected when you use Fireside
- Approximate or precise location when you authorize it, to support nearby discovery, distance, and Hangouts.
- Device, app, network, and usage information used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Fireside.
- Notification tokens and preferences used to deliver messages and activity alerts.
How we use information
- Provide account creation, profiles, matching, Sparks, messages, Hangouts, notifications, support, and safety features.
- Personalize and order recommendations using your location, preferences, profile details, and activity.
- Verify accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate reports, and enforce our standards and Terms.
- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve the service and comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
Your profile and content are shared with other members according to the features and settings you use. We may also share information with vendors that help us provide hosting, email, phone verification, maps or place search, notifications, storage, analytics, and customer support. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Location and profile visibility
Fireside uses location to support distance-based recommendations and nearby Hangouts. Other members may see your city, state, approximate distance, and the profile details you publish. Do not add sensitive information to your profile or messages unless you are comfortable sharing it.
Retention and account deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Fireside, protect members, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request account deletion through the app or by contacting us. Some information may remain in backups or be retained when legally or operationally necessary.
Your choices
- Update profile details, matching preferences, privacy options, and notification settings in the app.
- Control location and notification permissions through your device settings.
- Block or report members and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.
Age limits
Fireside is for adults. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no service can promise absolute security. Information may be processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate.
